Maybe It would be easier to modify the Silverlight SoundRenderer to use Metro's MediaElement...

I Don't know how work Xaudio2. So, as I do for different sound renderer, if it could be possible to have access to a raw sound buffer there is no problem to port it. If an audio driver can pull bytes or if we can push bytes into it, it's possible :)

In metro the Xaudio2 stuff requires C++ code--so that may not be an option.

Can we use MediaElement.SetSource(IBuffer)?
